President Bola Tinubu has appointed Professor Solomon Orotunde Adeola as the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Medicine and Medical Sciences in Abeokuta, Ogun State. Alongside this appointment, Tinubu also named other principal officers for the university, including Professor Abiodun Olukayode Adebayo as Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Olusola E. Ojo as Registrar, Mr. Oluwatoyin Adetayo as Bursar, and Dr. Olatundun A. Awe as University Librarian. These appointments are part of the efforts to establish and operationalize the university, which aims to become a leading institution in medical education and research in Nigeria.
