The National Youth Day, also known as Rashtriya Yuva Divas, is observed annually on January 12 to honour the legacy of Swami Vivekananda.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized the importance of being proud of one's spiritual heritage during a speech at the 'Shri Krishna Janmashtami Mahotsav' in Mathura. He highlighted the significance of the Krishna Janmabhoomi, where Lord Krishna was born, and stressed that while one should take pride in their spiritual roots, it should not lead to any form of discrimination or hatred. CM Yogi also mentioned the ongoing legal battle over the Krishna Janmabhoomi-Shahi Idgah mosque dispute, expressing hope for a resolution similar to the Ayodhya verdict, which would allow for the construction of a grand temple at the site. He encouraged the youth to embrace their cultural and spiritual legacy while promoting unity and peace.
