NEW YORK, May 6, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Harwood Feffer LLP ([ www.hfesq.com ]) is investigating potential claims against the board of directors of BMC Software Inc. ("BMC" or the "Company") (NASDAQ: [ BMC ]) concerning the proposed acquisition of the Company by a consortium of private equity groups including Bain Capital and Golden Gate Capital (the "PE Firms") in a transaction valued at approximately $6.9 billion.

On May 6, 2013, BMC announced that it had entered into a definitive agreement pursuant to which the Company will be acquired by the PE Firms.  Under the terms of the agreement, BMC stockholders will receive $46.25 cash for each BMC share held.
