Orbit International’s Power Group Receives Two New Orders Valued at Approximately $1,600,000

HAUPPAUGE, N.Y.--([ ])--Orbit International Corp. (NASDAQ:ORBT) today announced that its Power Group, through its Behlman Electronics subsidiary, received two new orders for its Commercial division totaling $1,621,800. Deliveries under these contracts require approximately $830,000 to be shipped during the first half of 2013 and the balance from August 2014 through March 2015.

"To achieve the extremely high power density needed to deliver clean, regulated DC power, Behlman engineers developed a new standard for VPX power supply design. Incorporating our Card Edge Conduction Xtra-Coolinga" Technology, Xtra-Reliablea" Design and Xtra-Ruggeda" Construction, moves Behlman right into the forefront of VPX power solutions."

Both orders are for an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) for use on the U.S. Naval LHA Amphibious Assault Ship. The unitas unique packaging enables Behlman to achieve the shortest chassis depth in the industry, giving Behlman a unique competitive advantage for this application. As a result, Behlman has had a long association with this program and with this latest award, has received three production orders for this UPS as well as an order for spare units. Based on customer input, in the next few months Behlman expects to receive an order totaling over $316,000 for battery chassis to be used with these units as well as a spare parts order valued at approximately $188,000 in support of the three U.S. Navy LHA ships outfitted with these units.

VPX is a broadly defined technology utilizing the latest in a variety of switch fabric technologies in 3U and 6U format blades. OpenVPX is the architecture framework that defines system level VPX interoperability for multi-vendor, multi-module, integrated system environments.
