Leading Australian Electricity Network Operator Chooses tibbr for Collaboration
Powering 1.6 Million Homes and Businesses, Ausgrid Deploys tibbr to Facilitate Internal Communication and Productivity
PALO ALTO, CA--(Marketwire - Aug 17, 2012) - TIBCO Software Inc. (
tibbr will integrate with Ausgrid's SharePoint-based intranet, serving as the platform for staff to discuss ideas, post news, share updates, connect with colleagues, ask questions and easily share links, files and other important data.
Ausgrid is also planning many uses of the tibbr platform that align with their strategic objectives for the workplace, such as improving safety performance and safety culture. One such example is Ausgrid's plan for its field engineers to access tibbr using smart mobile devices to make instant updates on tasks like the progress of jobs, sending pictures of equipment in need of repair and/or safety management around incidents and hazards. The geo-tag feature of tibbr eliminates the potential for manual error in each of these instances by automatically recording the physical location of where the update occurred.
"Ausgrid understands that the power of tibbr goes well beyond hosting an internal discussion board," said Ram Menon, president social computing, TIBCO. "tibbr takes work from the traditional, inefficient systems we're accustomed to, like email, the phone, and in-person meetings, and creates a single portal for all applications, people and data that accelerates work-related processes."
