Alcatel-Lucent has integrated Zephyr's BioHarness™ 3 into the Avatrainer, a tech savvy exerciser that utilizes the latest technologies to encourage exercise and to help achieve health & fitness goals.

Alcatel-Lucent's Avatrainer leverages Microsoft's Kinect and the Zephyr BioHarness™ to offer a virtual exercise room. Avatrainer is targeted at hotels and gyms. The Avatrainer is used to determine exercise performance and to track the guest's progress towards fitness goals. During the exercise session, points are accrued base on exercise performance that can later be used towards the purchase of fitness related merchandise.

Over the past 18 months, Zephyr has been redeveloping its BioHarness™ to include: a smaller form factor; longer battery life; advanced accelemetery; the additional of a medical grade ECG; enhanced Software Development Tools and a lower price.
