LAS VEGAS, BASKING RIDGE, N.J., and SAN ANTONIO, Jan. 10, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- [ Consert Inc ]., an intelligent energy management company, will showcase its Virtual Peak Plant(SM) (VPP) solution at the Verizon booth (Las Vegas Convention Center, South Hall, Booth #30259) during the 2012 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES), Jan. 10-13, 2012 in Las Vegas.  Consert executives and its sales team will be available in the Verizon booth to demonstrate how Consert works with utilities to convert electric consumption in homes and small businesses into cost-effective, clean sources of capacity and energy reserves.

The Consert load management solution is based on real-time, wireless technology that allows utility consumers to conserve energy using a Web-based, home area network.  Consert utilizes the Verizon Wireless 3G network to provide real-time communication to the Consert data center.  This highly secure network delivers fast data speeds and increased efficiencies for utilities.

In addition, Qualcomm will feature a Consert demonstration in its booth (South Hall 3, Upper Level, Booth #30313).  Consert utilizes Qualcomm's technology as it rolls out home energy management systems throughout the country.

Consert recently relocated its headquarters and senior leadership team to San Antonio, Texas, a move that allows the company to showcase its cutting edge technology in a growing hub for green technology.

Consert signed an agreement with San Antonio-based CPS Energy, the largest municipally owned energy company in the nation providing both gas and electricity, which will result in the reduction of 250 megawatts of peak demand over the next four years using Consert's VPP software and create more than 150 new jobs in San Antonio over the next few years.

The 2012 CES will feature more than 2,700 global technology companies unveiling the latest consumer technology products and services across 15 major product categories, including the latest in audio, automotive electronics, connected home technologies, digital imaging/photography, electronic gaming, entertainment/content and more.  For more information on the 2012 International CES, visit [ CESweb.org ].
