Global Energy Services Ltd. Announces Retirement and Appointment of New CFO

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Oct. 5, 2011) -Global Energy Services Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:GLK) ("Global" or the "Company") announces that Mr. Don Jorgensen has retired from his position as CFO (Chief financial Officer) of the Company, effective September 30th 2011. The executive management, board members and employees of the Company would like to thank Mr. Jorgensen for his contributions to the Company and wish him well in his future endeavors.

The Company is pleased to announce, subject to the approval of the TSX Venture Exchange (the "Exchange"), the appointment of Mr. Dean Martin to the position of CFO for the Company effective October 1st 2011. Mr. Martin is a Certified Management Accountant and he brings a wealth of financial knowledge and experience to the Company. His innovative approach and strong leadership will be instrumental for the Company's long term success.
