OSI Geospatial Announces Filing of an Amended and Restated Information Circular

VANCOUVER, Aug. 22, 2011 /CNW/ - OSI Geospatial Inc. (TSXV: OSI) ("OSI Geospatial" or the "Company") announced today that it has filed an amended and restated information circular (the "Amended Circular") with respect to its Annual General and Special Meeting to be held Thursday, August 25, 2011 (the "Meeting").  The Amended Circular shall replace and supersede the information circular of the Company dated July 25, 2011 (the "Circular") in respect of the Meeting. The Circular has been amended so as to include additional information with respect to Mark Rivers, Chairman and a director of the Company, that was not included in the original Circular as the result of an administrative error and which the Company was not aware of at the time the Circular was filed.  The amendments to the Circular relate only to the addition of the section entitled "Cease Trade Orders, Bankruptcies, Penalties or Sanctions" and consequential amendments to adjust for the inclusion of this section.  The Amended Circular otherwise remains unchanged from the Circular which was previously mailed to shareholders.  A copy of the Amended Circular is available for viewing under the Company's profile on SEDAR at [ www.sedar.com ].

In order to allow shareholders to fully consider this new information the Company intends to seek an adjournment of the Meeting to Friday, September 9, 2011.
