MRV Metro Ethernet Expert to Speak at MPLS & Ethernet World Congress
PARIS--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--[ MRV COMMUNICATIONS, INC ]. (Nasdaq:MRVC), a leading provider of products and services for out-of-band networking, optical transport, metro Ethernet, and fiber optic components, today announced Zeev Draer, vice president and product line manager for MRV International-Metro Ethernet Division, will present as part of the [ Mobile Backhaul session ] on day two (Feb. 12) of The [ MPLS & Ethernet World Congress ] Feb. 10-13 in Paris. He will speak about synchronous Ethernet for next-generation networks (NGN) for mobile backhaul.
The migration to Ethernet-based transport requires careful planning and consideration of synchronization requirements that enable real-time and mobility services. As a part of the mobile backhaul session on day two of the show, Draer's session will explore the various synchronization methods and the real-life scenarios in NGN mobile backhaul. All MRV carrier Ethernet access and optical solutions will be on display in booth 118 for the duration of the show.
Last year's MPLS & Ethernet World Congress attracted more than 1,000 delegates for the first time ever. Because each year the Congress brings together the most renowned engineers in the industry, their live debate with operators provides for a rich source of information to the hundreds delegates in the audience. The 2009 agenda will pay particular attention this year to Ethernet and MPLS Transport (MPLS-TP/T-MPLS) standards and mechanisms along with video transport, services and mobile backhaul being covered in detail.
Zeev Draer is a vice president and product line manager for MRV International-Metro Ethernet Division. In this position, he is responsible for leading and promoting MRV's flagship [ Carrier Ethernet ] product lines in the Metro Ethernet access market. He is an active member of the Metro Ethernet Forum and is active in making technology outlook presentations at industry seminars, conferences and tradeshows. Draer has 15 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Prior to MRV, he worked for a subsidiary of Elbit, a leading military telecommunications systems integrator and cellular application startup company.
