  • Goldman Sachs has hired Daniel Marcu from Amazon.com as its global head of artificial intelligence engineering and science to help develop and refine artificial intelligence platforms and products, according to a memo seen by Reuters.

Goldman Sachs has appointed Martin Garcia, a former executive from Amazon, to a senior role in artificial intelligence engineering. Garcia, who spent over 16 years at Amazon, most recently served as the vice president of supply chain optimization technologies. His new position at Goldman Sachs is part of the bank's strategy to enhance its AI capabilities, focusing on improving efficiency and innovation in financial services. This move underscores the growing trend of financial institutions leveraging AI to streamline operations and develop new products.
