BMW has announced that it will provide a free software upgrade to enhance the driving experience for owners of its electric vehicles (EVs). This upgrade, which will be available from May 2024, includes features like adaptive recuperation, a new 'Max Range' mode, and improved charging performance. The 'Max Range' mode is designed to extend the vehicle's range by up to 25 percent in critical situations by limiting power and speed, and deactivating comfort functions. Additionally, the upgrade will optimize the charging process to reduce the time spent at charging stations. This initiative reflects BMW's commitment to continuously improve its electric vehicle offerings and customer satisfaction.
