'Surrogate mother' ends life in Raidurg
- A woman engaged as a surrogate by a couple died after falling from the ninth floor of a building in Raidurg on Tuesday. The deceased Ashritha Singh, 26, was trying to escape from the residence through the balcony on the intervening night of November 25 and 26 when she slipped and died on the spot.
A 30-year-old woman from Andhra Pradesh, who was working as a surrogate mother, allegedly died by suicide in Raidurg, Telangana. She was carrying twins for a couple from Mumbai and was in her third trimester. The incident occurred after she reportedly had a dispute with her husband, who had been visiting her in Hyderabad. The woman was found dead in her apartment, and her husband was detained by the police for questioning. The couple for whom she was carrying the twins had visited her just a day before the incident. The police are investigating the circumstances leading to her death, including the nature of the dispute with her husband.
