Qatar participated in the Ministerial Conference on Nuclear Science and Technology held in Vienna, Austria, from November 27 to 28, 2024. The conference, organized by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), focused on the peaceful uses of nuclear technology, emphasizing its role in sustainable development, health, agriculture, and environmental protection. Qatar's delegation, led by Dr. Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Assistant Undersecretary for Environment Affairs at the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, engaged in discussions on enhancing nuclear safety, security, and non-proliferation.
