The conference, organized by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), focused on the peaceful uses of nuclear technology, emphasizing its role in sustainable development, health, agriculture, and environmental protection. Qatar's delegation, led by Dr. Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the Assistant Undersecretary for Environment Affairs at the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, engaged in discussions on enhancing nuclear safety, security, and non-proliferation. The event also highlighted the importance of international cooperation in advancing nuclear science for peaceful purposes, with several agreements and partnerships being explored to foster technological advancements and capacity building in nuclear applications.
