It seems the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is getting a bit nervous about their chances in the upcoming elections, especially in the Ashanti Region. According to Dr. Kwasi Amakye Boateng, a political analyst and lecturer at Kwame Nkrumah University

Dr. Richard Amakye Boateng, a Senior Lecturer at KNUST, has expressed concerns that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) is anxious about potentially losing votes in the Ashanti Region to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the upcoming 2024 elections. He highlighted that the NPP's stronghold in the Ashanti Region, which has been a significant source of votes for the party, is now showing signs of discontent due to economic hardships and unfulfilled promises. Dr. Amakye-Boateng pointed out that the NDC has been making inroads by addressing these issues, thereby gaining traction among voters. He also mentioned that the NPP's internal conflicts and the perceived arrogance of some party leaders are contributing to the erosion of their voter base in this crucial region.
