(NYSE: [ VPG ]) today announced that its VPG On-Board Weighing product group has unveiled a new video that illustrates the features and capabilities of its PM Onboard brand's range of payload optimisation and overload monitoring systems. Lightweight and easy to install and operate, systems such as TruckWeigh alert operators to any overload situation, allowing them to maximise their load and avoid fines while minimising the maintenance costs and safety risks of operating an overloaded truck.

The video introduced today explores how PM Onboard systems provide an invaluable contribution to safe, efficient, and more economical commercial vehicle operation. Requiring no driver input, the systems provide front axle, rear axle, and gross weight display, with accuracy to ±2.5%. Suitable for applications such as public utilities, logging/forestry, and cargo and freight, the TruckWeigh system is specifically designed for larger capacity vehicles up to 60 tonne. For twin-axle vehicles up to 7.5 tonne, PM Onboard also offer the VanWeigh^® system.

The systems' use of solid-state electronics means no moving parts and no wear and tear or slipping out of calibration, no matter how harsh the working conditions. The systems' sensors -- designed and manufactured by PM Onboard -- are extremely robust, yet still provide precise, fast, and fully accredited results. They can be employed on mechanical suspensions, air suspensions, or a combination of the two, and they are equally effective on all vehicle sizes and constructions.
