NEW YORK, Aug. 27, 2012 /PRNewswire-Asia/ -- [ Global Sources Ltd. ] (NASDAQ: [ GSOL ]) announced that its board of directors has reviewed and approved the designation of board member Eddie Heng (who was previously the company's chief financial officer until June 30, 2009) as an independent director, and also the appointment of Heng as an additional member of the company's compensation committee, both with effect from Aug. 20, 2012.
