Ideal Systems will integrate Qualstar tape libraries with XenData SX Series of digital video archive solutions that work seamlessly with most of the popular media asset management (MAM) and broadcast automation, including Aveco, Avid, Cinegy, Dalet, EVS, Harmonic, Evertz and more.

The key to this new capability is FastPass™, a simple robust design that passes tapes between modules in under two seconds. FastPass fits completely inside the library cabinet, requires no additional power and is field installable by the user. FastPass merges two, three or four RLS modules into a single, efficient cost-effective library storing up to 474 LTO cartridges and housing up to twenty tape drives in one 19-inch rack.
