FRANKFURT, Germany, May 8, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- [ Franke Artemis Group ] (Franke), a Swiss-based provider of kitchen systems, is renewing its agreement for a wide area network (WAN) from [ AT&T ]*, as well as adding web [ security ] services to improve efficiencies across the organization as it centralizes its IT infrastructure. AT&T will be Franke's global WAN operator for a further three years.

Franke is a Swiss-based global provider of intelligent systems for domestic kitchens, professional food service, beverage delivery and hygiene solutions. It employs approximately 10,000 staff worldwide and operates in more than 81 subsidiaries in 40 countries, including Germany.
Since 2003, AT&T has operated a global WAN, using a worldwide IP-based [ virtual private network ] for Franke.
The contract renewal extends the previous services through the addition of [ AT&T Web Security Services ].

With the aim of increasing efficiencies and freeing time to focus on core activities, including growing new business, Franke looked to AT&T's WAN and [ security solutions ] to help centralize its IT infrastructure.

Franke employees now have access anywhere to mission-critical applications. The use of [ mobile end devices ] has also been integrated. AT&T Web Security Services ensure a secure and high performing corporate network. This solution prevents the invasion of viruses and spyware into the corporate network and enables the secure and controlled use of the internet as well as instant messaging services.
