Procera Networks Expands Global Footprint and Accelerates Opportunities for Rapid Growth
New Offices in Japan, the Middle East, Central and Latin America, and Russia and the CIS Countries Give Procera a Local Presence in High-Growth Regions for Broadband
FREMONT, CA--(Marketwire - May 8, 2012) - [ Procera Networks ], Inc. ("Procera") (
"Procera's global expansion further strengthens our ability to support the needs of our growing number of large Tier-1 customers that operate across borders in multiple countries," said Jim Brear, CEO for Procera Networks. "This bolsters our ability to address those high-growth markets that are moving rapidly from less-refined DPI technology to more sophisticated IPE, where Procera excels. As we enter markets like the Middle East, for example, Procera is well-positioned and is already experiencing strong growth."
"Procera is committed to building long-term relationships with its customers and in-region channel partners," continued Brear. "And our expanded presence in Japan, the Middle East, Central and Latin America (CALA) and the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS countries) is essential. Speed to market is critical to success, so close proximity and business intimacy is more important than ever. Over the past two quarters, we've seen these relationships pay off with a strong mix of green-field and replacement wins globally."
The Middle East is a pioneer for Long Term Evolution (LTE) adoption. Pyramid Research has said it expects LTE adoption in the region to reach 6.1 percent of all mobile subscriptions by 2014. An absence of strong fixed broadband infrastructure and sufficient fixed competition in the region has set the stage for strong growth of demand for data services and reliance on mobile rather than the insufficient fixed access technologies, leading to this rapid LTE adoption rate.
At the same time, according to analyst firm Strategy Analytics in a March 2012 report, major countries driving growth in LTE outside the U.S. are Japan and South Korea. In regions such as CALA and the CIS countries, investment in IPE is driving growth from legacy technology infrastructure.
Procera continues to develop plans to expand its global office network to include regional distribution hubs, testing facilities and customer support centers. Procera believes this extended level of support is critical in assisting operators and service providers to address burgeoning mobile broadband traffic levels and to meet subscriber demands for a personalized experience and services.
Procera expects its recent PacketLogic™ product introductions, such as the entry-level PL7810 and mid-range PL8920 together with the top-of-the-line PL20000, to fuel the pipeline for new opportunities in these growing markets.
