AirTouch Communications Provides Shareholder Update

NEWPORT BEACH, CA--(Marketwire - Mar 27, 2012) - AirTouch Communications, Inc. (OTCBB: [ ATCH ]) ([ www.airtouchinc.com ]), a designer and marketer of wireless telecommunications devices, is today providing an update to shareholders.

"AirTouch is committed to improving the worldwide communication network, particularly in emerging markets, with the HomeConneX® proprietary wireless signal enhancement technology that improves cellular signal connectivity. Our new patent pending SmartLinX™ technology is expected to take AirTouch to an even higher convergence methodology that significantly widens the potential scope of business activities. During the last twelve months we have achieved several critical milestones. We successfully became a public company and underwent a name change, developed an array of next generation products, established AirTouch China, signed multiple wholesale agreements, obtained certifications for several products, and hired key new members to our team," stated Mr. Hideyuki Kanakubo, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of AirTouch. "These achievements, as well as our strong balance sheet, position us to pursue several contracts and embark on rapid growth throughout the remainder of 2012."

Mr. Kanakubo continued, "We are actively promoting demand for our products worldwide, particularly for the HomeConneX® series in emerging markets, focusing in the near term on regions such as Asia, Latin America, and Africa to deploy our technology. These regions lack in the landline based communication infrastructure and have to rely heavily on wireless access technology. Our products enable these emerging markets to leapfrog landlines in the deployment of communication services such as voice, data, SMS, and video. Meanwhile, our patent pending SmartLinX™ technology facilitates the convergence of mobile and home communication and brings AirTouch to a more technologically advanced level of unified communication business potential."

OPERATIONAL HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Product Developments: The X502 and X1502 HomeConneX® products for use on the Vodafone communications networks have been certified throughout the 16 countries of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS). Shipments of the X1502 began during the first quarter of 2012 and X502 to follow in the second quarter. Additionally, the HomeConneX X1500C wireless phone became Verizon Wireless 3G Certified. The X1500 can support up to six cordless handsets, can send and receive text messages, voicemail alerts, and connect wirelessly to the internet.
  • Strategic Initiatives: AirTouch has partnered with Advus Corp. to develop a number of high-volume software applications and services for the SmartLinX™ that can load the applications off any connected smartphone. Additionally, AirTouch has established AirTouch China, enabling the Company to pursue purchase orders from Chinese carriers including China Mobile, China Telecom, and China Unicom. AirTouch signed a Letter of Intent with Elephant Talk Communications to develop middleware for MVNO services that AirTouch plans to initiate in the USA, and AirTouch is currently discussing with interested US carriers. Elephant Talk's system enables AirTouch to start MVNO service at a fraction of the millions of dollars in costs that it would have taken other MVNOs.
  • New Team Members: Hired Mr. Thomas Quan as Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing and Mr. Carlos Isaza as Vice President of Sales for Latin America.
  • Balance Sheet: As of December 31, 2011, AirTouch had $5.1 million in cash and no debt.

Mr. Thomas Quan, Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing, commented, "AirTouch is in a unique position, with proprietary technology capable of filling a larger void in emerging markets where landlines will likely never be installed. We have worked closely with the largest of global telecommunications carriers including Verizon, China Mobile, Telcel/Telmex, and Vodafone, and the feedback we have received is very positive. The foundation for success has been set and we are focused on executing our strategy."
