(NASDAQ: VRGY) for shareholders in connection with the proposed acquisition by Advantest Corporation. On March 28, 2011, the companies announced the definitive merger agreement under which Verigy would be acquired by Advantest, in a transaction valued at approximately $1.1 billion. Under the terms of the agreement, Verigy stockholders will receive $15.00 in cash for each share of Verigy/VRGY common stock held. According to Thompson/First Call, analysts have set a price target as high as $16.00 per share for Verigy stock.
