When searching for a recipe, a link for "Recipes" will appear in the left-hand navigation panel of the search results page. When a user clicks the link, his search results will narrow to show only recipe results. From there users can search for specific [ recipes ], or more open-ended topics -- like [strawberry] to find recipes that feature strawberries, or holidays and events, like [Cinco de Mayo] or [baby shower], or a favorite chef such as [Ina Garten].
Within Recipe View the search results can be sliced and diced in several ways. For example, now it's easier than ever to find chili recipes that take less than 60 minutes and include avocado. Recipe-seekers can search using the following three filters:
- Ingredient: Include or exclude recipes that contain a certain ingredient.
- Prep time: View recipes that can be prepared in less than 15, 30, or 60 minutes.
- Calories: View recipes with less than 100, 300, or 500 calories.
Recipe View is built on [ Rich Snippet ] markup technology. Any recipe publisher can add markup to his website to be part of Recipe View.
Recipe View is rolling out now in the U.S. and in Japan, and will be enabled in more countries in the future.
