EA Goes Behind Enemy Lines with Special Edition of Medal of Honor for PlayStation 3

LOS ANGELES--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--In 2002, EA introduced the world to Medal of Honora" Frontline, a groundbreaking game and massive hit. The game starreda courageous young soldier, Lt. Jimmy Patterson, who fought arm-in-arm with his brothers on the German frontline during WWII. Nearly ten years later, the franchise continues the tradition of telling the soldiera™s story; this year, with Medal of Honor set in Afghanistan. Today, Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ:ERTS) announced a special edition* of Medal of Honor exclusive for the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system that will include the classic, Medal of Honora" Frontline. Available on PlayStation 3 for the very first time, Frontline has been completely remastered in HD with improved graphics, and all of the heart-wrenching battles of the original game.

For the first time in its 11-year history, Medal of Honor leaves the WWII theatre and enters the modern day setting of war-torn Afghanistan told through the lens of a small band of fictional characters. Medal of Honor introduces players to the Tier 1 Operator, an elite warrior and relatively unknown instrument of the U.S. Military that operates under the National Command Authority, taking on missions no one else can handle.

Medal of Honor is inviting players worldwide to participate in a massive multiplayer beta test starting on June 21.
