Tue, November 10, 2009 Gaming Standards Association Readies the Industry to Grow at G2E 2009
LAS VEGAS, NV--(Marketwire - November 10, 2009) - The Gaming Standards Association has been growing steadily for more than 10 years, both in terms of worldwide membership and accomplishments. Now at G2E 2009, GSA is more ready than ever to help the global gaming industry grow and thrive.
The G2E tradeshow floor will be heavily populated with GSA member companies who understand the crucial importance of standardized protocols, and who support and have participated in developing GSA's landmark and award-winning standards. In booth #2192, GSA will be talking with operators about the importance of preparing their casino floors now for new technologies that are coming soon. The organization will also be discussing with suppliers the benefits of developing products based on its standards. The GSA booth will also display the organization's new and updated logo.
GSA President Peter DeRaedt said, "Our member companies have the opportunity to witness the technological advances in products built on GSA protocols and the positive effect they will have on the industry. I believe G2E will showcase how our members, who have worked so hard to bring the protocols to fruition, are embracing the protocols in so many new products."
In addition to its tradeshow floor presence, GSA will hold its Annual Meeting on November 18 in the Las Vegas Convention Center, Room N-232. Delivering the keynote address is Frank Fantini, Editor and Publisher of Fantini's Gaming Report, which GSA recently named its official publication. The organization is also presenting the panel "GSA: International Technical Standards - Possible or Pipe Dream" on November 17 at 9:15 a.m. GSA Technical Director Marc McDermott will moderate as panelists discuss the possibility of international collaboration on common terms for gaming and a common approach to communication security. Panelists include Travis Foley, Nevada Gaming Control Board; Luke Freeman, Office of Liquor, Gaming and Racing; and Jeff Wyton, Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission.
