Micrel: Micrel Names Micrel Marketing Director John Lee Company's New Managing Director of Asia-Pacific

SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwire - September 23, 2009) - Micrel Inc., (NASDAQ: [ MCRL ]), an industry leader in analog, high bandwidth communications and Ethernet IC solutions, today announced that John Lee, Director of Marketing for Non-portable products for Micrel has been named Managing Director of Asia-Pacific. In his new role, Mr. Lee will have responsibility for the Company's revenues and sales efforts throughout the Asia-Pacific region.

Mr. Lee, a native of Hong Kong, has more than 30 years experience in the electronics and semiconductor industries. He joined the Company in 2006 as a product line director and since that time, he has been given the additional responsibility for two key product lines within the Company's analog marketing group. Prior to joining Micrel, Mr. Lee was Vice President and General Manager, Asia Pacific, for AudioCodes and Global IP Sound, Inc. Before this, Mr. Lee held various management positions with Cirrus Logic, Inc., Wireless Logic International and National Semiconductor Corporation, among others. As the author of numerous technical papers and articles, Mr. Lee, has a MSEE and a BSEE from San Jose State University, San Jose, CA.
