EL SEGUNDO, Calif.--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--International Rectifier, IR® (NYSE: IRF), a world leader in power management technology, today announced it will showcase its latest power management solutions at a key China industry event.

IR will participate in the International IC China Conference and Exhibition (IIC), February 26 and 27, 2009 at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center, China.

Engineering staff will demonstrate leading-edge power management solutions at Booth 2E01 where IR will feature a range of innovative products and platforms addressing applications such as lighting, audio, appliances, automotive and enterprise power. The SmartRectifier™ IC for AC-DC power supplies; X-Phase® and DirectFET® MOSFET chipsets; SupIRBuck™ family of integrated voltage regulators and iPOWIR™ integrated power conversion stage product line for computing and communications are among the solutions being showcased. Also on display will be IR's iMOTION™ integrated design platform for variable speed motor drive including the IRMCS3041 and IRMCS3012 reference designs for advanced appliance motor control, as well as a selection of customer end-applications using IR products.

"IR's mission is to help save the world's energy and we are pleased to have the opportunity to share our power management innovations with the engineering community at this major event in China," said David Poon, IR's vice president, AsiaPac Sales.

In addition, Peter Chen, field application engineer, will present IR's latest dimming control ICs at the Green Lighting Seminar on February 26,2009, Room 316, Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center. The IRS2530D DIM8™ is a unique dimming ballast control IC with half-bridge driver in a compact 8-pin form factor. The new device provides a competitive solution to replace inefficient incandescent bulbs in multi-level and three-way compact fluorescent lighting (CFL) applications. The IRS2158D 16-pin fluorescent dimming ballast control IC with half-bridge driver is designed for applications requiring dimming performance below 10 percent. Comprehensive protection features such as protection from failure of a lamp to strike, filament failures and end-of-life protection are offered making the device well suited for thin lamps including the increasingly popular T5 lamp.

IIC-China is a must-attend event for design engineers, technical managers and purchasing executives in China. It is the Mainland's largest showcase of IC application technologies and high-end components. Thousands of visitors gather at the show in Beijing, Chengdu, Shanghai, Xi'an, Wuhan, Dongguan and Shenzhen to learn about the latest electronics system design solutions from international vendors.
