Glendale MRI Signs Agreement to Upgrade Aspyra PACS and Implement RIS
CALABASAS, Calif.--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Aspyra, Inc. (AMEX: APY) announced today that the Company has contracted with Glendale MRI Institute, a state-of-the-art multi-modality imaging center in southern California to upgrade the center's existing Aspyra PACS to the most current release, version 6.4, as well as implement the Company's RIS solution, thereby resulting in the use of Aspyra's integrated RIS/PACS solution.
Glendale MRI has been an Aspyra PACS customer since 2003. Performing over 10,000 studies annually, the center offers various outpatient imaging services, including MRI, PET/CT, CT, Bone Densitometry and Ultrasound.
Pamela Fletcher, Glendale MRIs Administrator stated, "At Glendale MRI, we are dedicated to providing exceptional service to our patients and referring physicians." She continued, "We wanted an integrated imaging solution that would allow us to maintain a high level of service satisfaction, and would also allow us to be paperless, solve record duplication issues and import outside images. Aspyra's RIS/PACS met those requirements. Our radiologists like Aspyra's PACS and are looking forward to some of the tools and features available with the new release."
"Using Aspyra's AccessRAD RIS/PACS, Glendale MRI can improve patient outcomes by delivering accurate results in a timely manner to their referring physicians," stated Bill Culton, Aspyra's Diagnostic Solutions Product Manager. He continued, "The referring physicians further benefit by receiving images on CDs with a full-function viewer with customized hanging protocols and electronic copies of the diagnostic report. This in turn provides efficiencies that result in better patient care."
Aspyra's AccessRAD RIS/PACS is designed to meet the needs of acute care hospitals, enterprise-wide delivery networks, and medium to large imaging centers, with end-to-end solutions that automate processes at every point of patient and imaging encounter workflow.
