OMAHA, NE--(Marketwire - January 27, 2009) - iSECUREtrac Corp. (OTCBB: [ ISEC ]), an industry leader in electronic monitoring solutions, announced today that after a competitive review of multiple systems, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Office of the Commissioner of Probation selected iSECUREtrac's [ System 5000 ]® as a part of an initiative to help supervise high-risk offenders.

"We firmly believe that electronic monitoring is a useful tool that assists in viewing offender behavior patterns and enhances supervision in the community. It allows the Commonwealth to provide an extra layer of supervision to the community at large," said Massachusetts Probation Commissioner, John O'Brien.

The System 5000®, a small GPS electronic monitoring system carried by the offender, will alert officers if the offender is not complying with the terms of his or her release. Probation employees in Electronic Monitoring Centers will monitor the movement of supervised offenders. Officers use a web-based software program to set up electronic boundaries where the offender is allowed and areas that are off-limits. Should the offender not comply with the terms, the State may issue a warrant for the offender's arrest.

Massachusetts, one of the first states to implement a GPS monitoring program, presently monitors over 900 offenders on Active GPS supervision on a daily basis with additional offenders being added to the program each week. The contract will begin in January 2009 with systems to be deployed throughout the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. The State will begin the transition process to iSECUREtrac's technology in the latter part of January.

In addition, iSECUREtrac's Crime Scene Inquiry will allow monitoring centers to cross reference offender movement patterns with crime scene locations. Monitored individuals that are within the areas of crime scenes during specified time periods may be identified as suspects or in the alternative may be eliminated from the investigation.

"Massachusetts is an innovator when it comes to statewide GPS electronic monitoring programs. Many states and counties look to them to see what works when it comes to offender monitoring. It is an honor to win this prestigious contract and we look forward to continuing to help them with their success," said Peter A. Michel, president and CEO of iSECUREtrac.
