Mr Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, the Minister for Environment, Science and Technology (MEST) says the Government will complete and operationalise the Foundry and Machine Tooling Centre in Accra. Located on the premises of the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission (GAEC),

The Ghanaian government has announced plans to allocate GHS300 million to operationalize the Ghana Atomic Energy Commission's (GAEC) Foundry and Machine Tooling Centre. This initiative aims to enhance the country's industrial capabilities by providing advanced manufacturing services, including precision machining, casting, and tooling. The investment is part of a broader strategy to promote local manufacturing, reduce import dependency, and foster technological innovation.
