  • B urt, perhaps one of the most famous crocodiles in the world, has died at the ripe old age of around 90. The beast-come-celebrity was the reptilian star of the 1986 movie Crocodile Dundee about an eccentric Aussie bushman's antics in New York City.

Burt, a 13-foot-long saltwater crocodile who gained fame for his role in the 1986 film "Crocodile Dundee," has passed away at the age of 33. Known for his docile nature, Burt lived at the Australian Reptile Park where he was not only a star attraction but also contributed to public education about crocodiles. His death was attributed to natural causes, likely due to his advanced age, as saltwater crocodiles typically live between 70 to 100 years in the wild. Burt's legacy includes his participation in educational programs and his role in showcasing the behavior of these often misunderstood creatures, leaving a lasting impact on conservation efforts and public perception of crocodiles.
