  • Students from Sree Nidhi Institute of Science and Technology (SNIST), Ghatkesar on Wednesday protested against the management for withholding hall tickets of its BTech final year students due to Congress government's delay in releasing arrears related to fee reimbursement.

Students from various colleges in Hyderabad staged a protest on March 1, 2023, against the withholding of their hall tickets due to delays in fee reimbursement by the Telangana State government. The students, particularly from government-run colleges, were unable to receive their hall tickets for semester exams because the colleges were awaiting fee payments from the government's fee reimbursement scheme. This scheme is intended to support students from economically weaker sections by covering their educational expenses. The protest was aimed at urging the government to expedite the release of funds so that students could participate in their scheduled examinations without further delay.
