The educators and policymakers are called upon to transcend ideological divides and lead India toward inclusive progress and innovation The most comprehensive initiative in education in post-independence India was the report of the National Commission on Education,
The article from The Daily Pioneer discusses the evolution of India's education policy from the Kothari Commission (1964-66) to the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. It highlights how the Kothari Commission laid foundational principles for education reform, focusing on universal access, quality, and relevance of education. Over the decades, various policies attempted to address these issues but with limited success due to implementation challenges.
