The Norwegian Courts Administration extends contract with CGI to 2016

OSLO, NORWAY--(Marketwire - Jan. 17, 2013) - The Norwegian Courts Administration has extended its contract with Logica, now part of CGI, (NYSE:GIB)(TSX:GIB.A), a leading provider of information technology and business processing services, to 2016. Under the agreement, CGI will continue to operate the courts' IT platform, including data centre, hosting, server operation, application management, telecommunication and general support. The courts' IT platform is used by 2,000 employees in 100 courts across the country.

"We have decided to extend the contract on the basis of the operating situation of the courts being strong and stable. The underlying IT platform is modernized, which gives us a good foundation for the future," said IT Director Olav Berg Aasen at the Norwegian Courts Administration.

"Implementation of a new IT platform for the courts has been challenging, requiring significant expertise to succeed in converging new and existing solutions," noted Gisle M. Eckhoff, CGI's leader in Norway. "The parties have worked constructively and have had close dialogue through challenging periods. It is very gratifying to see that the platform works well and that the Courts Administration has decided to extend the operating agreement. We look forward to continuing the strong collaboration."
