JavaOne 2012 Keynotes Begin on Sunday, September 30 at 4 p.m. at the Nob Hill Masonic Center

  • [ JavaOne 2012 ] will take place September 30 - October 4, 2012 in the Zone at the Hilton San Francisco Union Square, Hotel Nikko, Parc 55 Wyndham and the Taylor Street Café.
  • New this year, the Java Strategy, Partner and Technical keynotes will be held on Sunday, September 30, beginning at 4:00 p.m. at the historic Nob Hill [ Masonic Center ].
  • JavaOne 2012 includes more than 400 sessions and more than 50 exhibitors. The conference is organized into six session types across seven tracks, which include:
    • Core Java Platform
    • Development Tools and Techniques
    • Emerging Languages on the JVM
    • Enterprise Service Architectures and the Cloud
    • Java EE Web Profile and Platform Technologies
    • Java ME, Java Card, Embedded and Devices

  • Addressing the strong demand for Java in the embedded market, there is a new [ Java Embedded @ JavaOne ] event taking place October 3-4 at the Hotel Nikko in San Francisco. This event allows decision makers to attend the Java Embedded @ JavaOne business-focused program, while their IT/development staff can attend the technically-focused JavaOne conference.
  • The Java Exhibition Hall is located in the Hilton San Francisco Union Square Grand Ballroom to give JavaOne attendees the opportunity to see hands-on demos of technologies spanning the Java ecosystem and also network with fellow developers in the Oracle Technology Network Lounge -- located within the Java DEMOgrounds.
  • Taylor Street Café, a block-long playground, lounge and hang space on Taylor Street, between O'Farrell and Ellis, is the perfect place for JavaOne attendees to meet up, hang out and charge themselves and their devices during the week.

John Duimovich, IBM Distinguished Engineer and Java CTO, will talk about innovations required in Java to support Cloud workloads.

  • JavaOne Technical Keynote - Oracle presenters will offer an integrated look into how the entire range of the Java portfolio is evolving to offer developers a high-performance, standards-based platform to meet the challenges of the next generation of enterprise computing. Presenters include:
