Gov. Bob McDonnell Applauds New Mobile e-Procurement App Developed by CGI for the Commonwealth of Virginia
New mobile app increases access to government procurement opportunities
FAIRFAX, VIRGINIA--(Marketwire - Aug. 14, 2012) - (NYSE:GIB)(TSX:GIB.A) - Gov. Bob McDonnell, joined by Mark Boyajian, Senior Vice-President of CGI, announced today the launch of eVAMobile 4 Business, a mobile application for Virginia's electronic procurement system (eVA). CGI experts behind eVA, one of the largest state e-procurement systems in the nation, created the new app in collaboration with the Commonwealth's team for Internet-enabled mobile devices to make it easier to track business opportunities with government entities in Virginia.
CGI Group Inc. (NYSE:GIB)(TSX:GIB.A), a leading provider of information technology and business process services, worked with the Department of General Services Division of Purchases and Supply (DGS) to develop the app which includes one-touch access to solicitation details, integrated calendars, personalized watch lists and advanced search features. eVA Mobile 4 Business gives bid professionals greater access and transparency to track state procurements - putting government at their fingertips.

Along with eVA, which saves the Commonwealth more than $30 million annually through greater competition and efficiency, the new mobile app demonstrates CGI's ability to use innovative technology to turn client vision into reality.
