BIO-key® International, Inc. Presenting Fingerprint Biometric Authentication Solution for EHR & ePrescriptions at Allscripts Client Experience (ACE)

WALL, NJ--(Marketwire - Aug 13, 2012) -   BIO-key International, Inc. (OTCBB: [ BKYI ]), a global leader in fingerprint biometric identification solutions and advanced mobile identification technology, today reported that the company will be presenting the latest advances in fingerprint biometric authentication technology at the Allscripts Client Experience (ACE) taking place at the McCormick Center, in Chicago, IL on Wednesday, August 15th - 17th Booth # 448.

Ed Black, Director of Healthcare Solutions, will co-host a presentation with Allscripts, demonstrating how BIO-key technology enables hospital and clinic staff members to increase time spent caring for patients by streamlining the process for accessing and updating patient records. The presentation will also include information about how BIO-key technology raises the level of security, while offering a complete solution that meets the DEA and State Board of Pharmacy requirements for two-factor authentication.

Mr. Black will join John Judd, Manager, Product Management of Allscripts, on Friday, August 17th at 10:15am to share their experiences working with leading hospitals and clinics that are seeking to achieve optimum efficiency and security for EHR processes.

At this year's ACE event, BIO-key will debut a new tool which measures the amount of time hospitals will save when they streamline the log-in process by incorporating BIO-key's technology.

"We have achieved measureable results helping Allscripts customers increase convenience by reducing or eliminating the need for entering sophisticated passwords. When measured, across departments the savings is quite significant," said Scott Mahnken, Vice President of Marketing. "With the recent changes in the biometric industry and the popularity of the iPad in healthcare, fingerprint biometric technology is ideally positioned as the solution to provide secure and convenient access to applications of all types," added Mahnken.
