(NASDAQ: ARRS) todayannounced its participation and speaker lineup for the SCTE [ Canadian Summit ] in Toronto, March 27-28, 2012.  The SCTE Canadian Summit is an international event for cable engineering professionals focusing on the exchange of technical information for today and tomorrow.

Michael Emmendorfer, ARRIS Senior Director, Solution Architecture and Strategy, will present a paper entitled "Next Generation–Cable Access Network (NG-CAN): Examination of the Business Drivers and Network Approaches to Enable a Multi-Gigabit Downstream and Gigabit Upstream DOCSIS® Service over Coaxial Networks" at 9:45 AM on Wednesday, March 28th. His presentation is part of the breakout session named "We Better Get this Right! Critical Elements in the Planning and Evolution of HFC Networks in Canada."

Jerry L. Patton, Product Manager Wireless Networking and Janice Despotakis, Manager Marketing Communications, both from the Access and Transport team at ARRIS, have co-authored a primer titled "What is Wi-Fi?"  The primer was developed to support SCTE's [ Wireless Symposium ], which will take place on March 26 in Toronto, Canada the day before the summit.
