(OTCBB: [ FKWL ]), the market leader in dual-mode WiMAX and CDMA modems for 3G and 4G wireless broadband data communications, today announced the upcoming commercial availability of its new S700 and S800 Series of stand-alone modems that operate over LTE networks. With a planned worldwide market release planned for the second quarter of 2012, the S700 Series and S800 Series support FDD LTE and TDD LTE networks, respectively. This innovative series of devices represents a reliable and cost effective solution to enable OEMs and others to integrate cellular connectivity into their products. The main market opportunity for the S700 and S800 Series is expected to be the growing machine-to-machine (M2M) space and these products can support a wide variety of products that require wireless monitoring and connectivity including vending machines, surveillance cameras, point-of-sale kiosks, utility meters and digital signs. The S700 and S800 Series of stand-alone modems will include several variations including dual-mode LTE/CDMA and dual-mode LTE/UMTS (WCDMA) versions and will be powered by Franklin's M700 and M800 Series of embedded modules.
