Agilent Technologies Names Gooi Soon Chai Senior Vice President, Order Fulfillment and Supply Chain

SANTA CLARA, Calif.--([ ])--Agilent Technologies Inc. (NYSE: A) today announced that Gooi Soon Chai has been appointed senior vice president, order fulfillment and supply chain, effective immediately. In this position, Gooi now leads a new, centralized organization created to help Agilent leverage its strength in manufacturing, procurement and logistics across the companyas three business groups: life sciences, chemical analysis and electronic measurement.

Gooi will report to Ron Nersesian, Agilentas chief operating officer. Gooi was previously vice president and general manager of the electronic instrument business unit within Agilentas Electronic Measurement Group and the vice president and general manager of EMGas order fulfillment organization.

Gooi joined the company in 1985. He has extensive international experience, and has managed a diverse portfolio of businesses serving the general-purpose, semiconductor, board-test and nanotechnology markets. He established Agilentas instruments business unit in Asia and was instrumental in the consolidation and streamlining of order fulfillment and the global supply chain for the companyas electronic measurement business.

Gooi holds a bachelor's degree with first-class honors in electrical and electronics engineering from London University, and a master's degree in computer engineering from Imperial College London.
