Contract Provides Federal Agencies Comprehensive Access to Telecommunications and Professional Services

OAKTON, Va., Nov. 9, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- [ AT&T Government Solutions ]* has been awarded a Connections II contract from the U.S. General Services Administration (GSA). The Connections II contract is a multiple award, Indefinite Delivery – Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with a potential value of $5 billion over the next nine years and three months.

Through Connections II, a successor to the current GSA Connections contract, AT&T can compete against other contract holders for individual task orders from federal agencies. The contract will serve as a vehicle for federal agencies to purchase a comprehensive list of telecommunications, network, and professional services for federal building, bases, and other campus-type environments.

"The Connections II contract provides federal agencies the flexibility needed to purchase the right telecommunications products and services – at the right price," said Thomas Harvey, Senior Vice President, AT&T Government Solutions. "AT&T's expertise with the Networx contract will serve as a strong foundation for our work through Connections II, ensuring agencies have secure access to the latest technology, personnel, and services."

As a Networx Universal and Enterprise contract holder, [ AT&T ] will be able to offer full-service telecommunication solutions to federal customers, supplementing existing Networx and regional telecommunication contracts with federal agencies through Connections II.

"Connections II, paired with the Networx contract, allows AT&T to offer a strong portfolio of professional services and network solutions to the federal government," said John Klebonis, Vice President, Professional Services, AT&T Government Solutions. "Together, these contracts provide the ability for a single provider – AT&T – to support a broad range of integrated IT and telecommunications solutions for our government customers."

In addition, Connections II provides federal agencies access to personnel with Public Trust determinations, secret, top secret and TS/SCI clearances. AT&T Government Solutions employees have security clearances at all levels necessary to meet this demand.

AT&T leads a Connections II team of experienced government providers, including Henkels & McCoy, Powertech, TWD & Associates, Siemens Government Services, Inc., VisualPoint, and WINS.

The Connections II contract has a base contract period of three years and three months with six, one-year options.
