iWeb activates its 1000th Smart Server and reaches a milestone of 14000 dedicated servers

MONTREAL, Jan. 24 /CNW Telbec/ - iWeb (TSX-V :IWB),  a global  provider of Internet hosting services and IT infrastructure announces  that, in less than 3 months, has activated 1000 SMART Servers.

Launched in mid October 2010, Smart Servers represent iWeb's  largest  innovation to-date. In only 3 months, the Smart Server has secured a  very important place in the company's portfolio of products. The  launching this new line of dedicated servers marked the first step in  the company's transformation into one of the most innovative providers of automated hosting services.

Today, iWeb hosts approximately 15 000 dedicated servers in 4 data centers in the Montreal area.

The Evolution of Smart Servers

Smart Servers were designed with evolution in mind. To underline this  milestone and to offer even more control to clients,  iWeb has updated  its platform to allow users to reinstall their OS or their  cPanel  configuration Control Panel on their own, directly from the Control Center.

More new features and functions are scheduled for release over the next  few months, in particular, support of RAID Hardware, integration of  Intel's new line of iCore processors, the addition of R1Soft backup  solutions as well as new firewall functionalities.
