NetApp to Lead Industry Discussion on the Importance of Building and Managing an Innovation Network in January 2009

SUNNYVALE, Calif.--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--In January, NetApp (NASDAQ:NTAP) will present at Microsoft's Global High Technology Summit to help drive discussion around the importance of innovation.

Val Bercovici, from the Office of the CTO at NetApp, will participate in a panel discussion at Microsoft's Global High Technology Summit titled "Building and Managing an Innovation Network." The panel will discuss best practices that enterprises can utilize in building and managing innovation by engaging external resources such as customers, partners, companies from different industries, and competitors. The panel will take place January 29 from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m. Pacific Time at the Marriott Santa Clara Hotel in Santa Clara, California.

NetApp Industry Appointments in November

In November, the Storage Networking Industry Association (SNIA) reelected two NetApp staff members to three of its boards and committees. Alan Yoder, a member of the NetApp technical staff, was reelected to SNIA's Green Storage Initiative (GSI) Governing Board and as secretary to the GSI Executive Committee. Dave Dale, director of Industry Standards for NetApp, was reelected as chair of SNIA's IP Storage 2009 Governing Board. SNIA is a not-for-profit global organization made up of 400 member companies and 7,000 individuals spanning virtually the entire storage industry. SNIA's mission is to lead the storage industry worldwide in developing and promoting standards, technologies, and educational services to empower organizations in the management of information.
