The Aalto University School of Engineering is seeking a Professor of Rock Engineering to enhance its research and education in the field. The position involves leading research, teaching, and supervising at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, with a focus on advancing the understanding and application of rock engineering in areas like mining, civil engineering, and environmental management. Candidates should have a strong academic background, evidenced by a doctoral degree in a relevant field, and a proven track record in research, including publications and securing external funding. The role also requires the ability to collaborate internationally and with industry, as well as to contribute to the strategic development of the department.
