Kambiz Aghili Joins Founder Amir Heshmatpour as Managing Director of AFH Holding amp;; Advisory

BEVERLY HILLS, Calif., April 2, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- AFH Holding & Advisory, LLC, a leading financial advisory and management consulting firm, today announced the recent appointment of Kambiz Aghili as Managing Director effective January 1, 2013. In collaboration with AFH Founder and Managing Director, Amir Heshmatpour , he will lead AFH's strategic portfolio investments.

Prior to joining AFH, Mr. Aghili spent seven years with Teradata Corporation (NYSE: [ TDC ]), most recently as the director of product strategy and intellectual property where he was central to the execution of many of Teradata's numerous M&A engagements and partnerships in the advanced analytics and data management systems marketplace. Previously he managed Teradata's product development teams across US, India and China and also served in senior technical capacities.

In addition to his role at AFH, Mr. Aghili is the senior consultant at UCLA Anderson School of Management's Price Center for Entrepreneurial Studies where he teaches business strategy. In this capacity, Mr. Aghili has advised 125+ companies with business plan development and competitive positioning since 2009. He also serves the wider community through contributions to the Greenhouse Project, dedicated to improving K through 12th grade Environmental Science Education in NYC public schools and is a member of the Covenant House, California's Young Professional Group, a non-profit agency whose mission is to assist at-risk homeless youth in Los Angeles.

Mr. Aghili received his MBA from UCLA's, Anderson School of Management. He holds a PhD and MS degrees in Computer Science from the University of California, Santa Barbara and a BSE in Computer Engineering and Information Science from Bilkent University, Turkey all in either Summa or Magna Cum Laude designations. He has also earned executive leadership certificates in business strategy from the joint Harvard Business School and Harvard Law School executive programs. Mr. Aghili has published extensively and holds several patents pending in the field of computer science.
