Cray Appoints Prith Banerjee to Board of Directors
SEATTLE, WA--(Marketwire - Apr 1, 2013) - Global supercomputer leader Cray Inc. (
Banerjee is Chief Technology Officer and member of the global executive committee of ABB Group (
Prior to joining ABB in 2012, Banerjee was with HP for five years where he served as the Senior Vice President of Research, and Director of HP Labs. Previously, Banerjee was Professor of Electrical Engineering and Dean of the College of Engineering at the University of Illinois at Chicago. He has also held leadership positions at BINACHIP, AccelChip, Northwestern University, and the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
Banerjee is currently a Board member of the United States National Academy of Engineering Computer Science and Telecommunications Board, and is also a member of the Technical Advisory Board at Cypress Semiconductor. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
