Times Three Wireless Files 4 Key New Patent Applications

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - Jan. 21, 2013) -

NOT FOR DISTRIBUTION TO U.S. NEWS WIRE SERVICES OR FOR DISSEMINATION IN THE U.S.

Times Three Wireless Inc. (TSX VENTURE:TTW) ("Times Three" or the "Company") announced today that it has filed four new US patent applications related to its wireless location tracking and wireless data communication technologies.

Times Three's new patent applications cover communications protocols used for remote utility meter reading, intelligent traffic signs, automotive monitoring, road condition telemetry, vending machine reporting, road construction equipment reporting and smart grid applications. The inventions underlying these pending patents reduce the quantity of equipment required as well as reducing deployment and operating costs. These leading edge technologies are expected to become widely-adopted in the near future, involving large numbers of wireless devices.

"We are excited to demonstrate to our customers, prospective licensees and shareholders our commitment to strengthen Times Three's existing fundamental patent portfolio by filing the first of our new patent applications since the changes we announced in October, 2012," said William Middleton, Times Three's CEO. "These new filings stem from the Company's historical innovation and leadership in the development of wireless location and telemetry technologies and we will continue to expand our patent portfolio as part of the ongoing growth of our IP and patent licensing programs."
