Transcat Repurchases Shares in Private Transaction

ROCHESTER, N.Y.--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--Transcat, Inc. (Nasdaq: TRNS) (aTranscata or the aCompanya), a leading distributor of professional grade handheld test and measurement instruments and accredited provider of calibration, repair and weighing system services, announced that its Board of Directors authorized a privately-negotiated share repurchase of 80,000 shares at $6.90 per share on November 29, 2010.

The shares repurchased were related to an acquisition Transcat made in 2008 where shares were issued for the acquired company at a value of $6.90. The $552,000 repurchase was funded using the Companya™s available cash and borrowings on its $15.0 million line of credit which had $12.9 million available as of September 25, 2010. The Company has approximately 7.3 million shares outstanding.
