HP to Develop Dealer Business System for Nissan North America

PALO ALTO, Calif.--([ BUSINESS WIRE ])--HP Enterprise Services (NYSE: HPQ) today announced it has signed a multiyear applications services agreement with Nissan North America (NNA) to develop a new Dealer Business System (DBS).

The DBS will be designed to improve Nissan and Infiniti retail dealership transactions. Through the system, dealers will have access to new features and improved functionality with a state-of-the-art platform using a service-oriented architecture. As a result, NNAa™s sales, service, parts ordering, warranty claim processing and delivery reporting will be able to accommodate multiple access methods as well as near-real-time integration between the dealer management systems and NNAa™s back-end processing.

Under Nissana™s direction, HP will provide [ application development ], [ implementation ], [ management ] and [ hosting ] services, as well as system certification for the DBS with multiple dealer management system providers. HP also will provide technical support for dealers through a [ technical service desk environment ].

The DBS application will be developed, tested and operated on HP technology, including [ HP BladeSystem c-Class enclosures ] with [ HP ProLiant ] server blades. In addition, the application will use [ HP StorageWorks ] disk arrays and [ HP Networking ] switches.

HP will provide services from NNA locations as well as [ HP Best Shore ] global delivery centers in the United States and China.

HP currently provides [ infrastructure management ] services for NNA, which includes HP servers, storage, networking and software.
