Tekelec to Participate in Mobile Broadband China 2010

MORRISVILLE, NC--(Marketwire - June 29, 2010) - [ Tekelec ] (NASDAQ: [ TKLC ]), the session and mobile data management company, will participate at [ Mobile Broadband China 2010, ] held July 1-2 at the Hotel Equatorial Shanghai as a silver sponsor and presenter.

Dan Bantukul, principal engineer at Tekelec, will participate in a two panel discussions:

  • "Monetizing the Network: The Applications & Services Opportunity in 3G & LTE" is Thursday, July 1 at 11:30 a.m. The panel will examine the fundamental links among service innovation, the capabilities of today's 3G networks, and emerging all-IP 4G technology.
  • "The Evolution of the Mobile Packet Core" is Friday, July 2, at 2:40 p.m. The session will explore the transition towards evolved packed core with LTE and the composition of this new architecture, as well as the implications for traffic and network management.

Bantukul, a member of the Tekelec Office of the CTO, has more than 20 years of telecommunications experience, and the vast majority of that time has been at Tekelec in a variety of positions, including hardware engineering, embedded system programming, product management and product marketing. As a SIP evangelist, Bantukul has extensive knowledge of SS7, SIP, IMS and Intelligent Network services in both fixed and mobile telecommunication networks, and he has been awarded numerous patents in these areas. He graduated with a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University, USA.
